Understanding the concern surrounding the COVID-19 virus and doing as much as possible to help minimize the spread and limit its exposure, we have implemented various safety protocols in accordance with guidelines from Health Canada.

Daily COVID-19 Screening
All of our caregivers are screened in before beginning each shift to ensure they are healthy and able to deliver care. Senior Helpers continues to follow all protocols provided by the local health units and government bodies. We will continue to modify our policies and procedures to meet best practices as the environment changes.
We are also screening all clients as we enter the home to ensure they are not presenting any symptoms so that appropriate measure can be taken as per The Public Health Agency of Canada.
Heighten Sanitization Practices
All staff and caregivers have been trained to clean all high traffic areas and surfaces which includes but is not limited to workstations, light switches, countertops and doorknobs.
Personal Protective Equipment
Our caregivers are working hard to reduce the risk of exposure and transmission of COVID 19. They have been provided with a constant supply of personal protective equipment including but not limited to masks, gloves, face shields, and sanitization supplies.
Potential Exposure
Senior Helpers continues to follow all government and health unit guidelines. All employees are required to adhere to all screening, prevention, testing and self-isolation practices.
Virtual Consultation
If you wish our Care Advisors are able to do virtual consultations with you and your family to ensure you have all the information you need when making decisions surrounding your loved one’s care. We can meet with you at your convenience to assist with arranging care or discuss the possibility of moving a loved one home from a facility or hospital.
Online Educational Resources and Webinars For Families
Our team continues to work to provide new opportunities for families to receive the support and education they need. We have launched online webinars which provide the knowledge and resources to understand how to care for loved ones with dementia.
