Dignity, Connection, and Learning From Those We Serve

At Senior Helpers Victoria, caregiving is about more than providing support. It is also about recognizing the experiences, perspectives, and wisdom each person brings. Rosanna embodies that belief in the way she approaches caring for seniors.

For Rosanna, one of the most meaningful parts of caregiving is getting to know the person behind the care.

“I enjoy learning about someone else’s experience in life, their perspective, and their values. There is a magnitude of information to be gleaned from our elders.”

Her commitment to helping others began many years ago through work supporting youth. As her own parents have aged gracefully into their 80s, that perspective has expanded to include a deeper understanding of what older adults may need to continue living with dignity and connection.

“Nobody is an island - we are not meant to live in isolation, whether we’re young or old.”

Rosanna believes meaningful support helps seniors remain connected to their communities while continuing to age in place with dignity. She also values being part of a team that shares that commitment to helping others.
